Configuring the right language for your Clerk store has always been essential for accurate results. Now, we’ve made it even simpler—and much more powerful.

You can now choose from 50+ officially supported languages directly inside your General Store Settings. Each language setting teaches Clerk’s search to:

• Understand grammar, syntax, and phrasing unique to that language
• Recognize spelling variations and typos automatically
• Deliver precise and relevant results, even across multi-language stores This expansion covers all major European, Asian, and global languages—helping stores with international audiences maintain the same intelligent search experience everywhere.

Why it matters

Every shopper searches differently. By matching your store’s search configuration to each visitor’s language, you ensure that Clerk can interpret their intent correctly—whether they type in Danish, German, Italian, or Japanese.

That means:

• Fewer “no results” pages due to spelling or phrasing differences

How to get started

• Log in to my.clerk.io
• Go to Store Settings → General
• Find the Language dropdown and select the language your store operates in
• Save your changes—that’s it! Clerk’s search will instantly adapt to understand your chosen language inside and out.
